Statement of Beliefs

INTRODUCTION
Servants of Messiah Ministries would consider itself to be “Nazarene Israel”, “Messianic Israel” or “Messianic Hebrew” as a “denominational label”. Most people, Believers, non-believers, Christians and Jews want some kind of “label” to identify a group. The following is a description that we have adopted to describe our ministry and our belief system.
What We Do:
Servants of Messiah Ministries has been created to do the following:
Restore the Whole House of Israel by teaching and training programs, congregational or small home group worship and meeting on Yahweh’s chosen days and by observance and obedience to Yahweh’s commandments.
Teach and train the Body of
Messiah Yahshua, which is the Whole House of
Teach, maintain and practice Hebrew identity by worship services and teaching programs.
Encourage the returning Ephraimite (Christian Believer in Yahshua) to return to their Biblical roots and live the lifestyle of the One we worship.
Promote and encourage cooperation with other organizations ministering within the community.
Conduct a ministry, both local and internet, by the direction of Yahweh and under the leadership of Yahshua (Jesus) and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) in accordance with all of the mitzvot (commandments), obligations and provisions as set forth in the Scriptures.
Spread the Good News that Yahshua is the Messiah through local and foreign missions, seminars, radio and television, multi-media and other forms of mass media for the purposes of educating individuals and groups in the Word of Yahweh.
Establish and operate a Messianic Israel Training Center that will prepare the Believer in Yahshua for effective living and service in the local community, other areas of the country, and in foreign missions.
Emphasize, live and teach that the Scriptures, consisting of the Tanakh (or “Old Testament”) and the Brit Hadashah (“New Testament”), are the inerrant Word of Yahweh and provide for us standards of conduct even when those standards seem to be at odds with current fashion, fad or “political correctness”.
Emphasize the importance of faith in Yahweh and His revealed Word.
Sabbath Observing
Servants of Messiah Ministries Congregation currently conducts Sabbath Torah services in a home group setting. We believe in and submit to Yahweh’s Fourth Commandment found in Exodus 20:8-11.
Biblical Traditions And Customs
Servants of Messiah Ministries encourages the returning Ephraimite (Christian Believer) to participate in the biblical traditions and customs that Yahshua would have. These traditions and customs will allow the Jewish person to feel comfortable and will show the returning Ephraimite (Christian Believer) the kind of things that Yahshua would have done and what His worship was like. This ministry observes and participates in the Biblical Feasts but will not participate in the traditional “Christian holidays” such as Easter and Christmas. This ministry presents teachings on Biblical food commandments, Mikvah (which is similar to baptism), the practice of family blessings and submitting to Torah. These teachings will allow the Jewish person and the returning Ephraimite (Christian Believer) to fully understand what Yahweh wants us to do. These traditions and customs are not for salvation but we do them because we love Him.
Return To Our First Love
The goal of Servants of Messiah Ministries is to return to our First Love: Yahshua! Yahshua is the most important part of our praise and worship and teachings. All of the Tanakh (“Old Testament”) points to Yahshua. All of Torah points to Yahshua. We wish to make Him our first love so that we will not hear Him say “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” (Revelation 2:4).
Relationship With Other Organizations
As Believers and followers of Yahshua, and as members of the Whole House of Israel, we believe that we must not engage in behavior that is destructive to other people or organizations. We are part of a community of many different churches and congregations that may have differing opinions or ideals. In order to avoid Lashon Ha-ra (the evil tongue), we will not speak out against any other person or organization. Servants of Messiah Ministries also does not participate in, nor endorses the current division promulgated by other Messianic Jewish organizations. We make NO distinction between Jew and returning Ephraimite (Christian Believer) and we do not support any organization that does.
STATEMENT OF FAITH OF SERVANTS OF MESSIAH MINISTRIES
As members of Servants of Messiah Ministries and Believers in Yahshua we must be able to agree to the following:
ANI MAAMIN – “I BELIEVE”
I believe with complete faith and trust that hwhy (Yahweh), blessed be His name, is the Creator and ruler of all created things. He is all and in all. To Him belongs the glory forever.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Creator is “echad”. This term can be translated as “one”, and also as a compound unity, of more than one object, as in Bereshit (Genesis) 2:24. “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be “basar echad” (one flesh).
I believe with complete faith and trust in Messiah Yahshua, the only begotten Son, beloved of His Father, Yahweh in heaven, whom Yahweh raised up to be the redeemer of the whole House of Israel, as He promised our fathers by his holy prophets. I believe that Yahshua descended from heaven for our salvation, He was conceived of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), born of a virgin, the seed of David and anointed of Yahweh with the Ruach HaKodesh and power. He was tempted in all points as we are but without sin. He glorified his Father Yahweh in heaven. He bore the reproach of sinners and was afflicted even unto the death on the execution stake. He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. By His stripes we are healed.
I believe with complete faith and trust that we pray only to the Father Yahweh, but in Yahshua’s Name. Yahshua is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the prophets prophesied of Messiah Yahshua by Yahweh’s fore-ordained knowledge.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Torah
given though Moshe is eternal and binding for the redeemed community of Messiah
which is all of
I believe with complete faith and trust that the whole Torah which we now possess is the same as that given to Moshe. That there is no such thing as a divinely dictated “oral Torah” supposedly given to Moshe.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Scriptures as written by the original writers in the original language is the Word Of Yahweh.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Creator knows the hearts and minds of all human beings.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Creator will reward those made righteous thorough the atonement purchased for us by Messiah Yahshua on the execution stake. He will also punish the unrighteous.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the Messiah Yahshua will return to set up His kingdom and rule the world on David’s throne from Yerushalayim.
I believe with complete faith and trust that the dead shall be raised and the righteous shall be changed.
I believe with complete faith and trust in the complete deity of Yahshua the Messiah. In Him dwelt all the fullness of Yahweh Elohim in bodily form (Colossians 2:9).
I believe with complete faith and trust in Yahshua’s death, burial, physical resurrection and subsequent ascension to the right hand of the Father Yahweh, where He sits as Cohen HaGadol (the High Priest) over New Covenant Israel (Psalm 110:1).
I believe with complete faith and trust that Yahshua reigns over New Covenant
I believe with complete faith and trust that a person must be “born again” through the Divine process of regeneration by Yahweh’s Ruach HaKodesh and be mikvahed (water immersed baptism), as an outward sign of confession of that inward experience. This takes place through an initial expression of faith in Yahshua’s atoning, vicarious and substitutionary death on the execution stake (John 3:3).
I believe with complete faith and trust that only the precious, Holy Blood of the Lamb of Yahweh, Yahshua, can totally remove and remit one’s sins.
I believe with complete faith and trust that Messiah Yahshua taught all His true followers both Jew and non Jew, that all the precepts of written Torah are eternally binding. Messiah Yahshua, never negated or “did away with” Torah, and expects and commands us to follow Torah, so as to continually renew our love for Him by our obedience. I reject that the false doctrine that says the “dispensation of Torah” has passed away or been nailed to the execution stake. I further reject the concept of a “moral law” and a “ceremonial law” which allows men to decide which of Yahweh’s commands they choose to obey.
I believe with complete faith and trust that all believers
in Messiah Yahshua are Israel, regardless of whether they come from Judah,
Ephraim (10 tribes) or have no Israelite blood but have joined Israel’s
Commonwealth through submission to Israel’s King Messiah Yahshua. Thus the
ekklessia/kahal is
I believe with complete faith and trust that both “Replacement Theology”, (where something man-made called “the church” replaces the Jews) and “Separate Entity Theology”, (where something man-made called “the church” co-exists as a separate “Spiritual-Israel” entity alongside the people of physical Jewish-Israel) are both unscriptural doctrines and need to be silenced via correct teaching by those of the single body of New Covenant Israel, also known as the ekklessia, the Assembly of Yahshua. Israel can only be defined, as those who are physical human beings, with a physical connection to Israel, along with a spiritual connection to Israel by being born again believers on and in Yahshua of Nazareth (Ephesians 2:11-19).
